Touché not detected

Post by Motajay »

Hello, I downloaded the latest ScummVM but the game Touché is still not found in the directory (I copied the CD files into a folder), what should I do to have the game work with ScummVM?

did you copied all files including directorys from cd to hd? if so, try to copy the file touche.dat from one of the subfolders in the same directory where the other files are. And then try to detect the game in this directory.

An other reason could be that you did not use a cvs (or subversion) build. As far as i know, touche support is not included in one of the allready released versions 0.9.1 and lower.

Touche works fine. Simply copy all files shown here and off you go. It's that simple, ...sometimes 8)

http://www.scummvm.org/documentation.php?view=datafiles

As always - If it doesn't work:

1. You missed some files needed when copying them.

or

2. Your CD/Drive might be scratchy or damaged. Try cleaning the CD and/or use another drive.
3. The SVN build might be broken. Download another SVN build the next day.

And yes, of course Touche only works in the SVN build, not in 0.9.1 :!:

Thanks for help, I think it doesn't work because it's version 0.9.1, what are SVN/cvs builds?

Look on the bottom of the downloads page where it says "Latest Builds".

They are the development version of ScummVM, where all the new features - and bugs - happen before a new stable release is made.

It works now, thanks to all!

I only have one more problem, with the scale of the window (can't see the inventory) and fullscreen mode won't work...
