Loomcd Copy Protection

Post by captainsmirk »

I've tried playing Loomcd, but it initiates working copy protection every time (the same scheme used from MI1... this pirate was hanged in Barbados in what year, etc.)

Not sure why it's doing this... but it is.

Any idea if perhaps I'm doing something strange or wrong?

Otherwise, ScummVM is the coolest software I've come across in ages. Big kudos!

Oops, sorry for the dubious posts, but...

I figured I'd download the latest version of ScummVM and see if that helps.

It did... though when it says I'm loading Loomcd, I'm actually loading the CD version of MI1 (not sure how/why that mismatch happens, but it plainly calls it Loom and it's not).

So... any idea where I might find the latest version of Loomcd? The good ol' "talkie" version? :-)

eBay?

...unless you have Loom on your harddisk and accidentially renamed the "Monkey Island 1" entry in ScummVM to "Loom"

Maybe easier still.

Maybe you have the game files from all your games in one dir.

Try to put all games in a dir by them self, then add them in ScummVM.

Did that possible help?
