Wow. So I have been waiting for a firmware downgrader for my lousy 2.80 psp when along comes a nice little utility called "eLoader 0.995 'Kriek'". It is all you need to get ScummVM up and running properly on your 2.80!!
The instuctions and download can be found here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/
I ran the exe with my psp hooked up, installed the psp ScummVM latest version, threw Fate of Atlantis on the card wherever, went to the photo section of the psp menu, ran the eLoader, selected ScummVM from the menu and voila! It staretd and I added FoA and played it and it runs beautifully!! Its the only one I have tested so far, but I am extremely hopeful!! Enjoy everyone!! Hope this helps!![/url]

That's good news for 2.80 users
The actual website of eloader is http://www.noobz.eu/
I started a thread about games compatibility with eloader, if you want you can add your own info there, and I'll update my post. http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=2456

Well, well... I have upgraded to 2.8, and installed the eLoader 0.995 'Kriek'.
I have tried the following games so far:
Day of the Tentacle
Maniac Mansion
Indy Jones FoA
Legend of Kyrandia
Monkey 1
Monkey 2
Monkey 3
Full Throttle
COMI's speed can be improved by setting the CPU speed up to 333, however in some parts it's a bit slow, but at least not as slow as playing it with FW 1.5. It is playabe although passing through the Banjo duel is realy hard!

Well, to be honest, I wasn't getting too much use of 1.5 firmware since I only run ScummVM and DOOM for homebrew; and as I am using my PSP as my portable PC to check emails and other internet stuff, I went for the upgrade. Ahh, I also got some new UMD games that weren't working in 1.5.
I hope I don't regret having it done now...
