Download and install problems with 0.10svn with N73

Post by Brian! »

Hello!

For quite some time I'm trying to download and install the
subversion ports for my N73.

For example: http://anotherguest.k0.se/cvsbuilds/scu ... v3_all.sis

But after my N73 has downloaded the file I get an Installer error message, that this file is not supported.
If I download and install the official 0.9.1 Version all works as aspected.

Pleas help! What may I do wrong??

With kind regards,

Brian!

Strange.. can the signing be wrong somehow? Try to find anyone who can help you self sign it.

Yeah, it is strange!!

If I download this file directly via my N73/Internet to my phone, it will not install the file (a error message like file unsupported or something like this will shortly be displayed). :(

If I download the stable version directly via my N73/Internet to my phone it will be Installed onwards as aspected. :)

If I download the file to my laptop and Install it vie Nokia PC Suit to my N73 it will be installed correctly as well. :?:

What do you mean with the signing and signing it by my self? Is this possible??

Might be that to download a file directly to your phone it might put other constraints on the installation files. Since Symbian Os V9 and S60v3 security for installations has gone up, and a non-signed installationfile wont be installed. I would recommend you to download the files to your pc.. and transfer to the memorycard and install it from there.

Okay, it's much more complicated for me but at last it's possible and that's the most important thing 8)

So thank you very much for your support and for sharing your knowledge and your time!! :)
