Pajama Sam's Lost & Found Crashing Problems

Post by highnine »

I have looked through the various reference documentation and found an answer could find nothing on a particular problem I am experiencing. :(

Whether I load the game directly from the CD or the hard drive, scummVM starts just fine and then crashes when it tries to load the first level. scummVM closes completely with no error messages, I am using the latest daily build. I would appreciate any insights into this problem and whether or not I should submit a bug report for this.

are you sure there is no error message? have you considered FAQ 5.6.?: http://www.scummvm.org/faq.php#AEN188

(assuming you run windows)

After following the steps described in the FAQ, I received the following errors when using the windows version of SVN build 3/8/07. I tried it again with the latest build of 3/18/07 and everything appears to be working correctly.

Earlier Errors:
WARNING: Theme config uses a different version (you have '19', needed is '20')!
WARNING: Could not initialize your preferred theme!
WARNING: Config '' is NOT usable for themes or not found!
WARNING: Falling back to classic style!

The first warnings are caused because you're using a newer version of the GUI new theme with an older version of ScummVM. Just use the latest SVN to fix this.

Not sure about the assertion when starting the game. Did you say it works for you with the latest SVN? Your message is a bit confusing
