OK, finnaly, I received Broken Sword 2 from Ebay, and my only question after installing the damn PC game was, "Are you freaking kidding me?" I got the exact same error than when I burned a prior version.
"Could not find clusters in either D:/Clusters or E:"
I ran the CD on both drives and still get the same message, and this is the original version!! What can I do? Any genious here can help me i know one of you can come up with an answer, please help this guy out. I can't think of anything. How do I rename a drive or how the hell can I use Scummvm with it if I cant even install it. I will thank whoever helps me for all eternity, i have been wanting to play this for 5 years now, and now that i have it i cant play it.
THANX.

Re: BROKEN SWORD 2 on PC
as far as I know you don't need to install BS2 (at least not the original release) - just copy the files over to the harddisk and add them to ScummVM?djfernie wrote:How do I rename a drive or how the hell can I use Scummvm with it if I cant even install it.
see http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Dataf ... ing_Mirror for needed files from CDs, and the notes for Broken Sword (section 3.7) in the README on how to get the videos running in ScummVM
hope that helps,
clem
edit: I just noticed your prior posts, how do you get games from eBay that quickly? shipping takes ages here...

No, we are not kidding you.djfernie wrote:OK, finnaly, I received Broken Sword 2 from Ebay, and my only question after installing the damn PC game was, "Are you freaking kidding me?" I got the exact same error than when I burned a prior version.

The difference is: Now that you have a legal copy, there are users who MIGHT think about helping you...
Of course yelling guys with stuff like "Are you freaking kidding me?" may not convince a bunch of VOLUNTEERING people which otherwise would be eager to help...
I don't wanna be a grinch, so I'll give it a try:
It seems to me, that you are
a) trying to use the original Broken Sword II installer EXE and/or
b) trying to use the original BS II game interpreter.
If so, you might not understand the use of ScummVM correctly. As most platforms ScummVM runs on (like mobile phones, Dreamcast consoles, etc.) aren't even able to run Windows(tm), there would be absolutely no sense in running a Windows EXE Installer or other stuff like that.
Copy the files needed from the CDs (clem mentioned), download the movie files from www.scummvm.org, and play the game using ScummVM.exe - the only EXE needed.
