RAM expansion able to be used for games such as The Dig?

Post by unrequited »

I know there's a problem with the RAM issues, but what about using a slot-1 for scummvm and using the slot-2 for RAM issues such as the Opera DS browser, does? Even using slot-2 flashcarts such as the g6 open up an extra 32mB of RAM... that's gotta be enough for more games, right?

searching the forum for "opera" might yield some interesting results... I'll leave doing that as an exercise to the reader :)

This question is also answered in the ScummVM DS FAQ. There's a reason I have the link in my sig. Please read it!

Any news about this?

Many months since the release of hardware like EZV Triple Expansion Slot 2, it could be nice if that extra RAM could be used in some way for supporting more games.

I'm not a developer, so not sure if possible or not.

I heared DSLinux support those RAM expansions. PicoDriveDS seems supports it too.

The status of extra RAM has not changed. The FAQ answer is still the current state of affairs.
