That's the last thing i'll work on. If scummvm will support Smacker files, there won't be any need for re-encoding.Raziel wrote:@salty-horse

I don't think Smacker will be supported, at least not in any official ScummVM release, as per the README for Broken Sword:
But hey, if ScummVM can have Smacker support - officially permitted by RAD, that is - that'd be great. It'd sort out the requirement for downloading cutscenes (which would save bandwidth) and I think this would at least help in part detract from those who would download the games instead of buying them...

Broken Sword 1 and 2 both come with in-game cutscenes compressed using
RAD Game Tools legacy Smacker(tm) format. As RAD is unwilling to open
the older legacy versions of this format to us, and have requested we not
reverse engineer it(...)
