N95 fullscreen issues

Post by mikinengland »

Hi everyone, I've been fooling around with Symbian for about 3 years, only just discovered ScummVM! Had a 7610, moved to an N70 and now I'm the lucky owner of an N95. I self cert files and so on so I'm no newbie although, in saying this, I'm having a problem getting this great piece of software to run fullscreen. I'm sure it's in the README file or, that it's somewhere else that is blindingly obvious. Not sure about the -f command or upscaling. Tried OK and 1/0 but still no joy. The games run fine, well Beneath a Steel Sky and Goblins do. I've forced fullscreen mode and edited this option in the 'Edit Game' field but still, the game sits, playing perfectly with full sound in the top right hand corner of my screen - landscape mode - filling only about a quarter of the available space. Hate to ask as I prefer to solve these kind of issues myself but any help would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if this is a silly request or if it's been posted before - although it dosen't look like it. Thanks and peace to all

Feel like a muppet. 10 minutes after asking, I looked for an answer like a woman and not a man! Solved the problem. Thanks to all those that would've helped. Just gotta find some more games now.................. :D

Exactly!
Because all other N95 users now remain fully puzzled.
Can no one else help out otherwise?
If he can fix it then I am sure the answer is at hand right?

Anyway I send him a PM in the hope he will read it soon and answer it!

Cheers.

Hi!

Maybe he hast just visited this wiki page?

How can I switch between Joy/Key/Cursor and Shrink/Zoom/Upscale modes for SXX devices? ;-)

I'm not sure if this will work on a N95 but worked perfectly on my N73 (has the same resolution than the N95). 8-)

So folks, have fun with ScummVM where ever you want to! :D

Awesome!
Thank you so much!

And yes my dear N95 users: this will work!
I have to use these same key combinations to get the Duke Nukem 3D port to work on my device concerning the controls and I can switch the screen resolution too!

I thought these were implemented in the port, and thus never realised they were Symbian specific!
Symbian just rocked my world again!
Woohoo!
ScummVM time! :D
