I downloaded the demo of FT from the ScummVM site, put it through ScummVM, and every time I try to open it, the screen goes black then closes.How do you get the FT demo running?

I'm uncertain exactly what you mean by "open it", but you should be able to set up the Full Throttle demo just like any other game that ScummVM supports. You don't need to run the original .exe file, if that's what you mean.

That link doesn't help me. To clear my previous post up a bit, I installed the FT demo to ScummVM, and every time I click 'play game' with FT demo highlighted, the scummvm screen goes black (like it should) for a second or two, then the program exits itself. has anyone else ever encountered this problem?

No, and that is interesting. Besides, in our FAQ there is a description on how you may see what ScummVM prints out to the console. It definitely tells something about casue of the failure.
