HELP NEEDED FOR SCUMM!!

I am already searching for a few days everywere on the internet and forums, also this one.

The point is that there is a huge base of information everywere! But for my situation i realy don't know how too get scumm safely on my brand new psp!

I am not soo extremely smart with this kind of programming, but if i knew what too do in steps! Mayby i could change my Psp in an old adventure games console!

But what you guys should do is! Create a very easy too use manuel site were you tell how too downgrade every firmware and also how too install Scumm! I see manuals al over the place. But how do i know what is right or not?

But enough about that.

I have a question! Does someone has a plan in steps how too get Scumm on my PSP with Update version 2.82 on my PSP?

And if somebody knows this i hope you wil tell me especially how too do this because 200 euro is a lot of money.

I know it is possible in some way but i kneed somebody i can trust! Not a simple internet link what can tell me a lie, if you know what i mean.

And as last thing i wonna say that for a begginer everything about this subject is very confusing! So i hope you guys want too help me,,,

- I dont have GTA (yet, i heard you need it too downgrade or something)
- I dont know what programms i need (i have downloads but am not sure if it is the right one)

We already have that page: http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/PlayStation_Portable (which is based on an older version of this page: http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=3466 -- sadly it seems people can't decide where to maintain it).

Everything not in our Wiki or on our main website is *not* official. We can't take any responsibility for any of these, obviously. In particular, it's difficult to keep track with all the tons of different firmware versions out there.

As for 2.82, it is not mentioned there yet, but fall ScummVM related purposes, it behaves like 2.81. That is, AFIAIK there is no eloader for it, but there are plenty tutorials out there that tell you how to downgrand / change to a different/custom firmware, e.g. http://psp3d.com/getting-started-help-t ... e-psp.html

I now have a PSP With 2.81 because the other one had some dead pixels (so i trade it for a new one) But I cannot find a first edition of GTA LCS. And i am sure they dont exist anymore in the normal shops! I can upgrade too 3.03 but is it better too wait for a few weeks?

Or simply said: Can i follow the people that are trying too hack Firmware 2.81 ?? Because i never read or hear someone about how far they are in their investigation on hacking the psp.

I also dont now who are hacking those systems. Mayby a Webblog is smart??? Because now i dont even know if they even work on a downgrade system for 2.81 Mayby nobody is working on it at all!

So can someone tell me more about this?? Because the internet tells not enough,,,

But please tell me that in the near future Scumm works on an 3.03 firmware or 2.81 etc,,,

It most be possible right??

ScummVM does not currently work on 3.03's HEN (Homebrew ENabler) so currently the only way is to degrade, which requires unpatched GTA. Either buy a pre owned one, then if it doesn't work, take it back the next day saying it doesn't work in your PSP and ask to exchange for a different copy, or find a friend that does have one. When you get one, follow the tutorial in the forum link to degrade.

As for the wiki version of that information fingolfin, I'll send a PM to Clone2727 now, and hope he reads it, else the wiki version won't be maintained.
