SOLVED: Kyrandia: "kyra.dat" missing or corrupted

I've tried running Kyrandia with 0.9.1a as well as all the past betas since (and including) 0.9.1ab1, but the '"kyra.dat" missing or corrupted' message appears every time. I'm using DS-X FW v1.1.2, and I'm posting here not to file a bug report, but to ask

1. Kyrandia works with 0.9.1a at all (I'm guessing it does, since 0.9.1b6 (or was it 0.9.1a) release notes mention Kyrandia improvements)
2. Kyrandia works with DS-X FW v1.1.2 (I'd rather not downgrade to test this!)
3. Where should kyra.dat go? I've put it in the flash card root, in the ScummVMDS directory, and the Kyrandia data directory.

I'm using the PC DOS game data. The game data works in DosBox (this doesn't relate to kyra.dat at all of course, but I thought I'd mention it anyway) and in the latest ScummVM Win32 daily snapshot (didn't try the latest stable (EDIT: I should definitely try the latest stable, since there appears to be a different version of kyra.dat for that one)).

EDIT 2: I was using the wrong kyra.dat file - the one for ScummVM 0.10.0 branch. This is the only one that's available for download on the main ScummVM pages; the only place to find kyra.dat for ScummVM 0.9.1 (and ScummVMDS v0.9.1a) is the ScummVM wiki.

".. or corrupted" - there is a kyra.dat for 0.9.1 and one for 0.10.0 - see first paragraph at http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Kyra

maybe ScummVM just expects another revision of it?

EDIT: The kyra.dat downloadable from the main ScummVM downloads page is "latest version of kyra.dat", not "kyra.dat for 0.9.1".

EDIT2: "kyra.dat for 0.9.1" is included in the Windows 0.9.1 package. I guess that's why Kyrandia works "out of the box" on Windows machines.

EDIT3: You were right, with the "kyra.dat for 0.9.1" it worked like it should. I think the ScummVM download page has to mention this, or only offer the 0.9.1 for download.

But in the meantime, can someone confirm they have Kyrandia working with 0.9.1a and if so, what Kyrandia version, what kyra.dat version, what flash card, etc. I have verified this (0.9.1a, DOS Kyrandia, "kyra.dat for 0.9.1", DS-X FW 1.1.2).

As far as I know, all versions of Kyrandia should work with ScummVM DS 0.9.1a. The flashcard that you're using won't matter. There is a long delay on startup as it loads though, so make sure you wait before giving up!
