JDAdams wrote:Fair enough then - thanks for the info. Consider Simon 1 & 2 tested as per above - I did get frequent instances in both games where I got graphical glitches (specifically one "version" of Simon remaining still in cutscenes while an animated one moved on top of the sprite) but having not played using the original exes and given the frequency of the problem I thought it must be endemic, especially since I even saw the same thing in Simon 3D while is obviously completely different in terms of coding.
Are you using fast mode? that can often cause glitches of that type.

Otherwise frequent glitches of that type aren't normal, and should be reported as bug, if they are reproducible.

Check the list of known bugs in the original versions, to see if they are ScummVM specific.

Simon the Sorcerer
German Talkie CD
Win32 SVN (June 12th) under Windows Vista

Completable, minor bug though. At least i think it is, but it's such a small detail i can't be sure it wasn't in the original engine.
(not sure about all the english names as i played the german version)
In the Tower of Doom garden, east end of the "lake", where you have to build the boat. If you do "look" at the "middle of the lake" Simon starts moving his lips and head as if he wants to say something, but there's no sound. He will continue to "speak" until you do something (move him, use something...).

That's honourable! I think they should still take Windows Vista reports...

Apparently, someone already did verify that Windows Vista can run ScummVM ... 0.5.1. :)

Testing is already over? But there are still several games not tested, at least it looks that way in the wiki.
Well, you've got to know when ScummVM is ready for the next stable release, so I just wait for 0.10.0 patiently.

They didn't verify the games :)

I really need to change my name... this is embarrasing me now...

ScummVM works absolutely fine under Windows Vista, at least I haven't noticed any problems
