Elvira needs your help

Post by Kirben »

ScummVM currently offers support for the following Elvira games, produced by HorrorSoft:
Elvira 1 - Mistress of Darkness (Amiga)
Elvira 2 - The Jaws of Cerberus (Any version)

The games could use more testing, to see if they are completable, and in order to find more bugs.

Please check the known issues, before reporting any issues, and submit any bugs into the bug tracker.

Unfortunately there aren't any playable demos available.

Also if anyone has the German versions of Elvira 1 or 2 (DOS). Could you please add a bug report, and attach the executable file (runit.exe or runvga.exe), so I can extract the font data.

Though there are no demos available, it's probably worth pointing out that these are 2 of the few games supported by ScummVM that can still be legally bought:

Does this game will enter the 0.10.0 release ?

It's not avaiable at the Release Testing page
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Relea ... ing/0.10.0

Just wondering...

Thanks :)

Maybe, if the Elvira 1/2 games are confirmed to be completable, and if no major bugs are found.

Elvira 1 is completeable (current Win32 daily build) with a few glitches which I posted on the bug tracker.

Thanks for testing the game, and the bugs reports. It is good to know the game is actually completable :)

Are these the original DOS games or new Windows ports, or something?

Minimum system :- 386, CD-ROM, Sound card, VGA graphics, 570k free base memory, 20mb hard disk space. Only works on Windows 95 or 98.

That could possibly just mean it doesn't run under never Windows Versions...

Elvira's Horror Pack still includes the DOS versions of the games, but with an added installer for Windows.

The system requirements are misleading, as there are no Windows versions.
