Games on a nds

Post by racer22 »

Hi there,

I want to play games on my NDS with an EZflash IV and a Passme2.
I have the scummvm ds already running on it (after an hour of working on it)

But now i can not play games on it because i dont know which files i must copy to the ds and where i must put .dat file.

I want the game The Legend of Kyrandia on it.
I have the "Kira.dat" file downloaded for the 0.10.0 version (i believe thats the latest version) and my scummcm is the same version.

Can someone help me out with this?

Do you mean you think kyra.dat is the game? Or do you have a boxed copy?

If in doubt, just copy the entire CD. ScummVM most likely will need pratically everything anyway, and will find what it needs. Just put it all in a folder on your card, the folder can be any name you like.

You can select the folder under 'Add game' in ScummVM and it will find the game.

my kyrandia 1 CD looks like this (at least what I have on my HD, too lazy to dig out the CD...)

there's:

\eng
\ger
\fre

and each of them contains a "1" and a "2" folder - both of them contain the full game - so if you want the english version, just copy the contents from \eng\1\ over, also put the kyra.dat in the same folder and add it to scummvm

Scummmvm can find the game now.
But if i start the game the screen is black

Edit:

If i start the game whit the L button pushed i get a mouse in the above screen.
But then the nds shut down

How long did you wait? It takes about 20 seconds for kyrandia to start.

I've never seen that before, what version of ScummVM DS are you using? Are you using Zip files?

I'm not familiar with EZ-Flash -cards, but I think you should rename it to .nds instead of .gba.
