Maniac Mansion NES Spanish Support

Post by clone2727 »

Hello all!

We would like to add support for Spanish version, but someone needs to donate it to the ScummVM Team first. I was told by sev that adding support for it will take a day.

So, if you would be willing to buy this for the team (I have a place where it is on sale now), please, contact me via PM or post here and I'll provide further details. There are two copies available.

Thanks!

-The ScummVM Team

PS. It costs about 30 EURO

Alternatively there's Wine which should work. Residual should too, but you'd have to complete it all in one go because saving and loading isn't yet complete. Also if you have a wallet there's things like Cider.

Wrong thread? It sounds like you're talking about Grim Fandango, not the NES version of Maniac Mansion.

(Incidentally, Wine's support for Grim Fandango seems to be getting worse, not better. It used to run flawlessly. Then it got really sluggish. Last time I tried it, it didn't run at all. Some day, I should try to figure out exactly when things started breaking...)

Are 30 euro the total costs including shipping?

I think not able to donate all the money, I'm having some money problems. Who knows in the near future.

Did end and nobody donated to ScummVM? If there appears other again, I can donate some money for the future.

Great. Thanks!

It's weird than a person from Germany buys it, instead someone from Spain. Anyway, it's nice you help to the people.

I hope to donate a game someday, when I finally recover from my money problems. I always avoid every kindbank loans, but that's not enough.

(self made) cart reader or removing the ROMs from the board and reading them out. Years ago I even sent a NES cartridge to some guy so I could get the German version of Kirby for NES to my computer (he returned the cartridge to me afterwards)
