The easiest way to get it, if you don't know your way around the system, is to go the system menu, administration, and synaptic package manager. Then search for scummvm. That is an earlier version (0.9.1) than the most recent (0.10.0) though.
If you need 0.10.0, you'll have to grab the debian package on the download page, then at a terminal type
dpkg install scummvm_whatever.deb
(where scummvm_whatever.deb is the filename of the debian package)
That should work, I think.
