Monkey Island Demo playback

I've just been browsing the TODO list on the wiki
and I noticed that adding support for the playback feature of the Monkey Island 2 demo has been listed.
has anyone looked into this yet?
Im not trying to rush anyone, merely wondering whether anything more is known about it.

The demo works by playing back a mouse recording, thus producing a non-interactive demo.

Currently, there are no plans whatsoever to add/improve support for this particular demo. Moreover, my personal view is that the tiny payback for implementing this (being able to *watch* one single non-interactive demo) just doesn't justify the work.

I understand that, as I saw it on the todo list I assumed
somebody was interested in it
