You can get Flight of the Amazon Queen and Beneath a Steel Sky (which are now both freeware) from our downloads section. For the other games that ScummVM supports, you can check at eBay

You can also play some free fanmade AGI games. A nearly complete collection can be found in this thread. But you may only download the fanmade ones, not the original AGI games from Sierra.

It´ s freely available alright, but being supported by ScummVM, even in it´s latest SVN incarnation, is new to me!Noelemahc wrote:Also, isn't Lure of the Temptress freely available from Revolution Software's site? IIRC, ScummVM supports it now.
There is WIP engine in the SVN, bu as far as i know it´s not on by default and not in the state of playability!?
Mods, corrects me if i´m wrong, please
Yes, it is not yet supported. Once we announce testing period and add the game to our compatibility list, it will be recommended for end users.Raziel wrote:There is WIP engine in the SVN, bu as far as i know it´s not on by default and not in the state of playability!?

However. the engine is in a pretty good shape, the game is completable, but has several major issues.

You need a bit of luck to pick up the LucasArts games cheaply. I went to an open day at the local dog kennels and found the Indiana Jones twin pack (Atlantis and Last Crusade) for £3 ... so keep looking. I know some of the games were recently re-released in the UK (COMI, The Dig, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango).faroth wrote:does anyone know where i can get games for scummvm for my pc??? i want to play all those great games that i play as a teen

In Germany some of the LucasArts adventures were re-released, too. Nearly the same games as you mentioned above, but instead of The Dig they re-released Sam&Max. It's a good thing that they sell at least some of their classic games again and 10 Euro aren't that much for those true classics. Too bad LEC doesn't accept ScummVM as much as we users do. It would be so much easier to use ScummVM instead of programming the executables anew to make it all Windows compatible. But it's their decision how they make it usable for the users, since the players can change to ScummVM, anyway. The most important is that they DO sell those games again.Jimbob wrote:I know some of the games were recently re-released in the UK (COMI, The Dig, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango).
Even Sierra's cottoned on to the idea of using specialist emulation tools - some of the Quest games have been noted as being resold bundled with DosBOX.
The only difference is that instead of having a generic emulator, ScummVM is a specialist emulator targetted at their games.
They wouldn't need to do too much except provide an installer, and bam! They've have an instant ready-to-roll multi-platform method of distributing their older games.

My bad, I'm sorry. And me holding a computing qualification and several years programming experience should know better...
Of course, it is an interpreter rather than an emulator... this sort of situation emerged a while back when Activision released the later Zork games and allowed the earlier ones to be downloaded for use with interpreters such as Frotz.
I was just trying to suggest that LA could, if they wanted, use the code of ScummVM to build nice installer CDs that run on multiple platforms. Then again, that would involve them approving its use officially, which judging by past events seems a little unlikely...
