Full Throttle and CMI
So, I've been using ScummVM (and a more flawless program I have never seen) to play a lot of my old LucasArts favorites (MI,MI2,Indy 4, the goods.) Anyway, now I'm moving on to Full Throttle, but I can't get ScummVM to recognize the game. I point it to the directory where it's installed and all I get is "no game found!" The same thing happens with Curse of Monkey Island; how can I get these to open? Also, can Grim Fandango run in ScummVM? XP's compatibility modes can get the game running, but not with any reliability. Thanks.

probably FAQ 5.2.Kiruvi wrote:Anyway, now I'm moving on to Full Throttle, but I can't get ScummVM to recognize the game. I point it to the directory where it's installed and all I get is "no game found!" The same thing happens with Curse of Monkey Island; how can I get these to open?

If you'd used the search function on these forums you might have noticed that about once a day a new user comes on here and asks basic questions about how to use ScummVM that are well documented in FAQs and on the forum.
The devs are friendly and helpful enough to give you ScummVM for free. Don't make them teach you how to use it on a daily basis. This stuff isn't rocket science. Read the docs, you'll figure it out.

Kiruvi, there are a lot of FAQ entries and forum posts answering your questions indeed. It can get a bit tedious answering the same things over and over again...
Usually, if ScummVM can't find a game, it means that some of its files are missing. The files you need are here:
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Dataf ... l_Throttle
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Dataf ... and.2C_The
ScummVM runs 2D adventure games, so it does not run Grim Fandango. There's a subproject for Grim Fandango (mainly) and I believe Escape from Monkey Island too, called Residual. You can find it in the subprojects page here:
