P990i problems

Post by Kappa0698 »

Sam n' Max crashes when i get to the top of the ball of twine with Reason Code 3, Monkey Island crashes on the cliffside after the map piece has flown away with the same error code
Simon Sorcerer I've never been able to get to load.

Can someone please advise?

the samnmax and monkey2 crashes are most likely instances of the infamous "scroll bug" - as a workaround you could transfer savegames made before these sections to the PC, play around it, save, and move the savegames back to your device

no idea about simon1

I guess the cause of crash might depend on the version used (not mentioned) of ScummVM.

Simon Sorcerer I've never been able to get to load.
If by "never able to get to load" you mean it's stuck on a black screen upon choosing it in the menu, that's normal. All of the AGOS games take one HUGE while to load for some reason.

As for the crashes... I'm currently playing through MI2 on my W950, when I get to the map piece collecting, I'll probably know if I have this bug or not :)

Passed the map piece scene in MI2. No crashes. I did get this bug though, but that was to be expected, naturally.

P.S. Got a new fun bug I haven't seen before though. The skeleton dance/bone song scene... was infinite. The skeletons would simply refuse to stop dancing, even after the musick ended. But hitting the virtual ESC key forced the game to resume its normal course, with the LeChuck vision and the root beer-inspired rude awakening.
