First of all, let me say this is a great program, and I love being able to run my old PC games. I've successfully been able to play Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, and Loom. However, for some reason, when I try to start Sam & Max, ScummVM just quits. No error message, nothing. The files in the directory I'm trying to run it from are:
MONSTER.SOU
SAMNMAX.SM0
SAMNMAX.SM1
These are the only files I found on the required list on the wiki. Any ideas?

That's the kind of error you'd get if ScummVM can't initialise the MIDI driver. As a workaround, you could change the Music driver setting to "Adlib" instead. However, that's far from ideal since Sam & Max, unlike the earlier games, does not have any music specifically written for Adlib.jemoore113 wrote:Thanks for the tip. The error message says:
IMuse initialization - Device not available!
From what I understand, the Mac version of ScummVM has a couple of different MIDI drivers: CoreAudio, CoreMIDI and QuickTime. I have absolutely no idea what the difference between them is, but could you try and see if any or them works for you?
