Indy4 - Mac version on Windows - woe is me!

Post by Ben Paddon »

I've always wanted to play Indy4, but finding a DOS/Windows copy that doesn't cost about the same as a small island is a nigh on impossible task. Fortunately, the Mac version is cheap and abundant, so I picked up a copy.

Except I'm an idiot, because I can't do anything with it.

I managed to get over the HFS hurdle by installing a program called MacDrive 7 which let me read the data on the CD. The problem now is that ScummVM can't do anything with that data - presumably the data is compacted in an installer file or something. So, I need to find out which file it is I need (the ReadMe states that there are two versions on the disc, one for standard Macs and one for PowerPC Macs) and figure out how to crack it open.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or am I just, y'know, being a complete idiot and completely overlooking something?

There's a Mac-related ScummVM howto: http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/HOWTO-Mac_Games

There's no installer for the game, so copying over the file should be enough.

Here's a list of datafiles needed (even though I assume you already know about that):
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Dataf ... f_Atlantis
(Mac version apparently just has 1 datafile called "Fate of Atlantis Data")

The mac CD actually has two versions on it. The CD version on the disc is what clemmy mentioned, but there are also atlantis.* files that are the mac floppy version.

Could you please update the wiki accordingly? Since I don't know the exact filenames I don't know what to put there.
