Hey guys,
I have BS1 installed on my PC (Windows CD version). Trying to run it with ScummVM but I have complications. The game will not play videos and there is no speech or music.
I tried running it normally also. The videos play but with audio only. Speech and music work but the game is jittery. Would ideally like to get it working in ScummVM.
My OS is Windows Vista 64.
My ScummVM version is 0.10.0.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Broken Sword - No Videos Or Speech
Did you copy (and, in some cases, rename) all of the necessary files from the CDs to the hard disk, as described in the README file? The speech is in files called speech.clu and the music is in music.clu.Maganda wrote: I have BS1 installed on my PC (Windows CD version). Trying to run it with ScummVM but I have complications. ScummVM does not support the original Smacker videos. You need the re-encoded ones. The ones using "DXA compession" look better than the ones using "MPEG2 compression".
Hi Erik,
I've read the Readme file now and copied all the Cluster and Music files. I also copied the Speech ones over and renamed then as it describes in the file. Finally, I did download the video files you suggested. Thanks for all your help thusfar!
The music and videos now work, but for some reason the speech doesn't. I think it may be to do with renaming the Speech files but I don't know (I renamed them Speech1 and Speech2 respectively). I've also checked to make sure it wasn't muted but it wasn't.
Need some more assistance please.

OK, I'm a total idiot!
I just noticed both the Speech files were the same size. Turns out I copied the same file over twice and given it two different names!
Well, I copied the correct one over now and it's working properly so that's fixed it. Sorry for wasting SP and anyone else's time who's read my last few posts. :p
