Unmakesis not working?

Post by RappScallion »

Hello,

I'm trying to install scummvm on my phone, but i have to use unmakesis because i don't have enough memory on it. But when I load the sis into the program, there are no files. I can see the information about the sis, but it doesnt show any files and when i hit extract nothing happens. Is there anybody that could help me?

Thnx in advance.

Yes, but when i try that, it says it doesnt have enough memory. I have a 1 gig card in it, but the installation sis is placed in the phones memory. And i only have 3 mb on that.

RappScallion, you mean the internal phone memory? *looks at Wikipedia* Oh, the 5500 only has 8. I assume you can't free up more than that, huh? That's mighty indecent. A while ago, you'd get the per-engine builds to get around this problem - AnotherGuest had put up separate one-engine-only builds on his page in the past - but those don't get updated muchly lately, so unless you build your own...

Of course I can do a single engine build again, it only takes around 12 hours do do them all. :-)

Otherwise I think the Symbian Installsystem is crap, first they unpack it on C: check the validity and security of all files, then move them to the correct location. Or..

I can test with a 5500 here. Install on the memorycard from the memorycard. Filling up C should not be a problem I guess. :-) Like one gigant Mp3 later. :-)

a) 2.8mb free on C
b) Use data cable or card reader, put Scummvm SIS file on Memory card
c) Launch installer from file manager (built in)
d) Install on memorycard (55mb free)
e) Works FINE!
