I found the exact same problem unanswered in the POcket PC section,
however I'm running The Secret Of Monkey Island on Mac OS X 10.4.11 on the latest version of ScummVM
although this seems irrelevant if we've had the exact same problem?
If anyone knows a way around this I'd be much obliged, I'm trying to get my younger sisters to experience these life-changing games!
The cursor still moves and animates from white to light grey, but Guybrush stays crumpled on his head at the bottom of the circus pole with no animation in the game itself, skip-scene and other shortcuts not solving this.
Perhaps it's the particular monkey island files we're using, ie: a corrupted copy?
Any help hugely appreciated xx

I can't reproduce that problem, neither with the DOS CD version nor the DOS 256-colour floppy version.
At this point, the game should be waiting for you to answer the question the Fettucini brothers asked you. The floppy version uses a fairly bright colour for the responses, but the CD version uses a much darker one. On my old, trashy monitor I had trouble making them out, but surely it can't be that simple...?
Still, it might be worth clicking in the general just below the picture, to the left, in case there really is something written there.

If the text is really invisible (as opposed to just drawn in a dark colour), that's probably worth filing a bug report about.treesleeves wrote:Genius, thank you! The text is invisible til rolled over, thank you so much.
