M3 DS REAL or M3 DS SIMPLY

Post by NuMatic »

Ok, I finally brought myself an M3 DS Product, but it seems I picked M3 DS Real, does that make any difference as everyone seems to say M3 DS Simply is the one to get?

I'm gonna get an SD card soon, as the only cards I have hanging around are M2's, making them too big to fit... lol!

If it can run DLDI enabled homebrew, it can run ScummVM.

No problem. Enjoy your SCUMM!

Actually, ScummVM DS is very nicely compatible. It even runs fine on the DS-Xtreme. ;]

Ok, so Ive got myself an M3 DS Real Card, and a MicroSD card from Kingston (40p of Amazon) I've downloaded dlditool GUI and the scummvm ds files. I have tried serveral .dldi files... and after patching, and putting the scummvm ds files onto the MicroSD card, then inserting the cart into the DS solt the following message appears:
No system file found ! Put system file in
Its likely I'm missing something, probably a system file of some kind lol!

The drunkencoders FAQ doesnt seem to cover this issue, can someone help please ^^

Sorry if this is actually covered in the FAQ...

Thanks for looking!

This really sounds like an M3 issue, not a ScummVM issue. You'd probably get lots more help on a flashcart forum like GBATemp.

EDIT: Found lots of solutions on Google. Try it, you'll like it!

Yeah, needed to download system folder for M3 DS Real...

I googled it =) and got the main M3 DS Website and then that linked me to some Japanese/English Website, where I searched for the system file, not too hard to find =)

Got Monkey Island 1 on the go... Guybrush does look like a flooring inspector ^^

Thanks for your help!

I can't really see how I helped, but I'm glad you're on the way to Monkey Island!
