is there a difference between Old Elvira and the elvira-pak?

Post by Urd »

Since i only own elvira and waxworks in a very old floppy-version, i thought of buying this elvira-pack from Adventuresoft.
But thex say these will only work with windows 95 and 98, so my qestion is: do they work with scumm-vm properly?
and is there anny difference between the firs floppy-version and this newer one? (maybe talkie?)

I only have Elvira's Horror Pack so I can't tell whether or not there's any difference between that and the older releases, but to the extent that I've played them (not very far, I'm afraid) they do work in ScummVM.

I'm guessing it's the floppy versions with little or no enhancements.

The only enhancement I'm aware of is that the random code generator that is used in Waxworks and Elvira 2 for copy protection has been rigged in the Horror Pack to always ask for the same number, which is kindly enough mentioned in the manual. For obvious reasons of not making the owners of the CD to work said copy protection.
