please help with Indiana Jones and Fate of Atlantis

HELP! I wanna play Indiana jones and fate of atlantis... I get the text and the music but no speech... the program keeps saying "startfxsound failed to load sound"... what should I do??

Which version of the game have you got? The floppy or CD version? If you got the CD version, did you copy the file monster.sou in the game's folder from your CD?

that looks a bit small? afaik it should be ~150 mbyte.

Yes, there is something wrong with your monster.sou.
Even the monster.sog (compressed version of monster.sou) is with about 69584351 bytes bigger than your monster.sou.
Try to copy the file again from CD.

You only need atlantis.000, atlantis.001 and monster.sou.

monster.sou can be compressed by compress_scumm_sou from scummvm-tools.
