Better slow than nothing

Post by Halo2 »

You are right that it will be slow, but I don't think that this will be a problem with an adventure which consists mostly of "still" screens and dialogues.. .
So the fix is still highly appreciated.

Go ahead and try the latest pre 0.12.0 build. That has support for COMI now.

Resolution with pre 0.12

Post by Halo2 »

Okay, I've tested it again with the actual build and the resolution is scaled wrong.
So I only see the top left quarter of the screen.
This was not the case on the P1i with previous versions (till 0.11).

From Svn builds thread...

Panning around is one thing abit hard on the P1i, center, jog dial up and down should work some what.

Tap control button (top right), then 's' to toggle stretching.
Keys for keyboard based devices are
'f' = Flip in Landscape
'i' = Change input
's' = Stretch
'p' = Toggle Portrait/Landscape

In VGA games like COMI only FULL flipped is supported, but compressed flipped/not flipped is supported.

A new installation would start in stretch mode, but since upgrading wont update the existing INI file you get this behaviour.

Panning isn't that difficult... the jog-dial pans up and down, the arrow keys (to the left and right of the space-bar) pan left and right.

Any chance you can include scaling to 100% for landscape-mode as well?

Ehh 1-1 scaling for landscape is there.But only in flipped. So if you get a black screen, press 'F' or '3' (depending on the phone)

Stretching

Post by Halo2 »

You were absolutely right - control button and s - toggled stretching and "resolved" the black screen issue.

I tried the pre 0.12 now which started in landscape mode and without switching the stretch mode it displayed only black.
In portrait mode (in which 080805 started?) the screen is displayed instead of black, so then just needs the correct stretch setting (and a switch to landscape mode ;-)).
