I'm completely lost as to how you get these games to load up, via ScummVM, with these icons.

In short, create a new shortcut with the following in it:
drive:\path_to_scummvm\scummvm.exe gameid

e.g.
c:\scummvm\scummvm.exe monkey2

I've created a shortcut icon (I use XP) but I can't add the gameid. the "windows" don't let me to add "[space]gameid" after the path of the scummvm.exe

In reference to an earlier remark, it doesn't have to be an icon file under windows. BMP will do just as well. That being said there are other options than those, however I don't know too many people that still build icon libraries.

Nice one of Xanthia. Beats the more usual hand with wand or jesters hat.

With the path though you should have something like "C:\program files\scummvm\scummvm.exe"

Should have no trouble changing that to "C:\program files\scummvm\scummvm.exe" --game_id

I can't remember any reason under windows where if you can create a shortcut you can't adjust the command path.

Thank you Ceri Cat!
It worked. I had to put the game_id AFTER the closing ' " '
:D

Glad you liked the Xanthia icon. 8)

HoF was the first Kyrandia game I actually found to buy, though I'd played the original before then. Actually find the series has some unusual twists compared to other adventure games and some brutal puzzles.

And yes, that's normal breaks other wise, windows is a fusspot about some things.

thanius, what do you think about us adding your icons to our freeware games, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Beneath a Steel Sky and Lure of the Temptress?

We need your official permission to add them to the downloadable game packs. They will be used at least in Debian.

Also I have a request that you, if possible, draw an icon for game Drascula: Vampire Strikes Back which will be officially added in 0.12.0.
