frequent and random crash

hallo,
I'm using ScummVM to play Full Throttle under Windows XP.
During the game, randomly and unpredictably, the game crashes.
This is what I read in the DOS shell:
C:\Program Files\ScummVM>scummvm
Using configuration file: C:\Documents and settings\ale\Application Data\ScummVM\scummvm.ini
Looking for ft
Trying to start game 'Full Throttle'

I'm having the same crash-problem when running Monkey Island 2..

Try recopying the files from your original media.

The same crash problem? That shouldn't be possible, since that part of ScummVM (the SMUSH movie player) isn't used by Monkey Island 2. It has to be some other crash problem.

not exactly the SAME crash problem, but the same type of problem: it crashes randomly and continously throughout the games.

did you try recopying your files from cd?

also, what errormessage does console output in MI2 and what version of ScummVM are you using?
