Unable to save games

I'm having trouble creating savegames. I know there's a problem with creating savegames in BASS, but even the autosave doesn't work, instead reporting back, "Unable to create autosave file 'SKY-MV-CD.ASD'.()"

I've installed the full game of Monkey Island and it works fine, but when I use the SCUMMVM interface to try and save, it reports "Failed to save game state to file: monkey.vga.s05 [OK]"

I've searched through the forums but couldn't find anything to help.

Update: Turns out I didn't have the most recent version of ScummVM installed. It seems to work fine now that I've upgraded.
