Monkey Island Music in Downloads?
Woah feels like ages since I've been here...
Well yeah, I have the Bounty Pack version of Monkey 1 and 2, here's the part you yell at the screen in the hopes that the message gets to me - I lost the disc. And the disc is what I need for the sound etc.
So is it possible for the Monkey Island music to be put on the Downloads section? It would really, really be useful. Especially if your like me and absoultely hate to use CDs to play games.
A little bit of negotiation with Mr Gilbert won't hurt, will it?

I'm afraid not. According to Wikipedia, he left LucasArts in 1992 to start to start Humongous Entertainment. (In fact, I believe most of the people who worked on the old adventure games have left.)iPwnzorz wrote:I thought Ron was still with LucasArts.
He does have a web page, which you may or may not find interesting.
By the way, when I say I found out about Monkey 3 and 4 I mean I thought Ron made them.
This is awkward, I have no idea where my CDs gone and both games are boring without that wonderful DOS score. It's like DOOM with no music or sound. Ah well, I'll have to try and find an original somewhere, Monkey Island is one of the games I've never had an original case for.

You can download the music from my website http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com
An before anyone starts talking legality, LucasArts knows about my site (Lucasfilm's legal department contacted me about it a while ago), and they allowed me to offer the soundtracks for download. They only requested to remove all "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" content.
And regarding the "Monkey Island"-music, the tracks are not in the right order on the game disc, so my "sensible" track listing isn't correct for the tracks to be used in the game. Here's how the files should be named. Note that some tracks are included twice, and some aren't included at all. Here we go (my track number coming first, the file name it should get coming second):
08 -> Track1.mp3
10 -> Track2.mp3
05 -> Track3.mp3
17 -> Track4.mp3
07 -> Track5.mp3
02 -> Track6.mp3
09 -> Track7.mp3
03 -> Track8.mp3
06 -> Track9.mp3
04 -> Track10.mp3
12 -> Track11.mp3
16 -> Track12.mp3
16 -> Track13.mp3
14 -> Track14.mp3
13 -> Track15.mp3
18 -> Track16.mp3
01 -> Track17.mp3
11 -> Track18.mp3
19 -> Track19.mp3
20 -> Track20.mp3
15 -> Track21.mp3
21 -> Track22.mp3
23 -> Track23.mp3
22 -> Track24.mp3
Enjoy!

I see you have track 16 listed twice. Could you clear up which track is which? Thanks!Laserschwert wrote:You can download the music from my website http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com
