MI:2 Copy Protection

I have the Monkey Madness CD. When I run MI2 from the CD, it doesn't ask for copy protection. I copied the whole game onto my hard drive for convenience's sake. When I did this it started asking for the copy protection thing. Anyway to stop this? It's not a big deal if I can't, since I a) can just use the CD or b) actually still have my old Mix n' Mojo wheel from back in the day... just doing either of those things ruins my whole added convenience plan.

You dont need the code wheel, just punch in any random digits and it should work.
