Playing Games with the joystick......Help!

Can anybody please tell me how to configure the joystick so that i can play games on scummvm with the joystick.

I don't think ScummVM supports joystick devices as it's meant to mainly run point-and-click interface games. But if you're on Windows, Xpadder is a nice app for emulating mouse and keyboard input with game controllers.

Xpadder is a cool program and btw scummvm supports joysticks because i have already edited the scummvm.ini file (sorry i didnt write before) to support my joystick and scummvm also detects my joystick but the problem is that when i start a game the joystick doesnt work. It works in DOS though but i have XP

so can anyone help me.
