Broken Sword (sold out dvd) work for mac?

Is it possible to get the broken sword sold out dvd disc to work with a macbook running leopard?

Assuming the data files can be extracted from it, the games should run fine I guess. But I have a faint memory of reading somewhere that you have to run the original installer on the DVD to unpack the data files, and that could be a problem.

(And it might be using the old, low-quality cutscene packs, but if so, they could easily be replaced by the newer ones from the ScummVM web page.)

From the sold out dvd version
I've extracted the games and playing on os x
Except I can't save on BS2, F5 does not work :-(

The save option is held in the game menu, I think it can be accessed by either the menu at the top of the screen or by pressing escape.

In Broken Sword 2, you have to use the menu. There's no keyboard shortcut. There's no "main" dialog like there is in Broken Sword 1, so one would have to be improvised, like the restart/restore dialog you get if you have any save games when starting the game.

(Actually, there is a "PSX Title Screen" which you can reach with the start debugger command, but it doesn't work properly.)
