No, it would be equally "annoying" as with The Feeble Files.

Well I guess I'll just leave it for the near-future then..
Don't let us stop you though! I'm looking forward to seeing the game playable through your efforts within a month.

Well, all of Yuruka's extensive programing knowledge does not extend to simple DXA conversions. He could easily code the entire game - alas, were it not for that pesky smacker issue.

I'm going to say this, and it's not because I was lieing about being able to code it and everything,

I can't obtain the source.

...Which comes to no surprise.
Many games got supported by reverse engineering, anyway.
So, you're in or you're out? :)

I'm out for now, but maybe some time in the future I'll try it.

I'm rusty.

yeah, it's easy to forget stuff when you start coding at age 4.

Lack of source code, smacker complications, rusty coding - what a shame. If I could code and was confident enough that I could come on here and claim I could support a game in a month, I wouldn't let those little things stop me.

Then again, I also wouldn't be starting a thread asking other to do it for me.

Haha, okay then.

For your information I could get support for it in a month.

Smacker Complications?

Tsk.

I know a fix for everything. And I am confident enough to code it in a month. I just don't have time to wake up, start working on it, and go sleep. Do I get paid for it?

Nope.

Pay me some money and sure.

I have a job, you know.

To be honest, you sound more like a 14yr old - but you're right, the laws are different in different countries. Maybe you should spend your time elsewhere? (means: not here)

DrMcCoy wrote:There's another thing: IIRC, Toonstruck is shock full of Smacker videos. And I don't think RAD Game tools changed their views about having their formats RE'd.
Granted, the ffmpeg-project already did and I at least didn't hear of any uproar about it, but still...
if ffmpeg-project includes the code for playing smacker videos, than why not incorporate it into scummvm, beats the hell out of having to convert every video to whatever format you need.. and looking at the previous information (which dates back to januari 2006) RAD-tools didn't tell them they couldn't make the player, I do recon they would have big problems with creating the compressor.. And let's not forget, there is no difference in using a converter to convert smk files into any other files, as there is in being able to play them, both have a different target, but both have implemented the decompressor..
Especially since the smacker.c source is already included in ffmpeg for more than 2 years without any problems..
