What do I need to do to make Grim Fandago work on my XP?

All the inane chatter goes in here. If you're curious about whether we will support a game, post HERE not in General Discussion :)

plus,if your experiencing problems running it it helps to turn off antialiasing on your gfxcard and setting processor affinity to 1. use the searchfunction for gods sake.

Eyes and Brain tell me he probably managed to run it in the meantime since the posts you are replying to are almost a month old. Hands helped in typing this post.

if this forum isn't for senseless chatter then why on earth do you insist on keeping this old thread alive?

try to moderate yourselves, be polite and ask questions in a grown up manner and you will all be much better recieved by the forum regulars.

One step (after installing the game itself): Download the Grim Launcher.

Do a Google search for it, I know it's still available for download on some Grim fansites. It replaces the game's original launcher, so after you install the game, open the Grim Launcher for a one-button option to transfer data files to your harddrive so you can play without the CDs in the drive. Even more crucial, the launcher allows you to play in windowed mode, which is the best way I've found to make sure Grim runs without crashing in XP.

Well, there is the Residual project, but it's not really usable yet. (For instance, last time I checked, saving/loading didn't work.) Other than that, I don't know.
