Kyrandia CD...

I've searched all over but:
I've got the Kyrandia CD and the latest Scumm. Now, I can't install the game on my windows XP, so while I have the kyra.dat file - my Scumm doesn't recognize the game.

What should I do?

Copying the neccessary files from the CD should be all you need to do. No installing required.

I've been to the kyrandia DataFiles wiki section and there are a bunch of files listed which I don't have and don't know where to get from.

I've copied the kyra.dat file (which is downloadable from the wiki) to the main directory of the CD files, but no luck.

If memory serves right, I believe that the game files for Kyrandia 1 should be in a subfolder in the CD called "KYRANDIA"

If memory serves right, I believe that the game files for Kyrandia 1 should be in a subfolder in the CD called "KYRANDIA"

On my CD I got three different sub-folders for the different languages ('ENG', 'GER' and 'FRE'), and two identical subfolders '1' and '2' in those, so when playing the english version one had to copy the files from "ENG/1".

Thanks. It worked. I just directed Scumm to ENG/1 and copied kyra.dat to there.

This should be written somewhere, I think. It's not that obvious.
