full throttle black screens (spoilers)

i was playing full throttle, everything was running fine until right after maureen saves you, and you have to get the parts for your bike.

then it went to a black screen with some text and just started flashing really quick,

i'm on 2.71 and using eloader.

i'm not very familiar with the psp, should i go to custom firmware or step back to an older firmware, or something else?

1) Update to the newest custom firmware.
Check PSP-hacks.com forums for more info.

2) Use the newest PIX's ScummVM build

3) Make sure all the required files for the game to run are on your PSP.
