ARG !!
I just set up SCUMM for DOTT and had it working great over the past 30 minutes. But for some reason, I wanted to make the window to play in full screen mode. My monitor is a 22 inch lcd - set at 1680 by 1050. Now, whenever I try to start up SCUMM, my monitor goes black and I get an "Out of Range" error on my monitor.
How can I get back into the SCUMM program to de-select the "Full screen" option?
Thanks
Anthony

It should be possible to either start ScummVM from a command prompt, with scummvm --no-fullscreen.multi007 wrote: How can I get back into the SCUMM program to de-select the "Full screen" option?
Or you could look for the ScummVM configuration file. On many systems (including Windows) it's called scummvm.ini, but it could also be called .scummvmrc on Unix-like systems, or (I'm told) ScummVM Preferences on Mac OS X. Whatever it's called, it's just a textfile. Look for a line that says fullscreen=true and change it to fullscreen=false instead.

Another quick question, i want to double the size of the game play window. is there a way to do this without changing the resolution of my lcd monitor?

ScummVM can scale the image to 2 or 3 times its original size. For many games, that means the image is scaled from 320x200 pixels to 640x400 or 960x600. This is done with the Graphics mode setting. Additionally, Aspect ratio correction will stretch the graphics to 320x240, 640x480 or 960x720 pixels.multi007 wrote: Another quick question, i want to double the size of the game play window. is there a way to do this without changing the resolution of my lcd monitor?
(Many games use 640x480 pixels, so they can of course be saled to 1280x960 and 1920x1440.)
There is currently no way to scale up the image any further than that.

Hello everyone, I have a Dell LCD monitor that would come on fully bright for about 3-4 seconds but then it would go dark. I can see the images, but the screen is dark, so it's useless. What could be wrong with it? I am quite worried about this. I really need your help. Should I have it fixed or just buy a new one? Please let me know your opinion and advice. Thank you so much in advance.

Wouldn't that be better suited in a Dell forum or general hardware?navratilova wrote:Hello everyone, I have a Dell LCD monitor that would come on fully bright for about 3-4 seconds but then it would go dark. What does it have to do with ScummVM?
Are you a bot?
I was just about to ask - how is this a scummvm thing? Unless the ScummVM is causing the monitor to react this way. Does your monitor do this regularly? Or does this happen only when you run scummvm in full screen? This does sound like a Dell (hardware) only issue and not a scummvm (software) issue. Assuming this is a dell issue, you would call dell. IF not under warranty, dont bother getting it repaired as the repair bill will cost equal to the cost of a replacement.
