Roland MT-32 emulation

Post by bsauvage »

Hey Vinterstum,

It seems that the MT-32 emulation is not implemented on iphone. All I could find as potential reason were some posts in the Windows Mobile version mentionning MT-32 emulation being too resource intensive to run on mobile devices.

Is there really no chance we'll ever see it on the iphone port? That would be soooo awesome to have it!!!!!!

Keep up the amazing work, scummVM is such a dream program.

Thank you

It will not help :P

The CPU demands for a smooth MT-32 emulation is around 1GHz. Now take a look at your iPhone specs. And don't forget that besides sounds there is game interpreting, screen updates which all also need CPU power.

Too bad! Well it was most certainly the case as I'm sure it would have been added by now if it was feasible...

One more (unrelated) question: do you plan to add support for compressed BUN audio files?

Many thanks, and Happy New Year to all.
