Testing, testing (Help us with 0.13.0 release testing)

It is time to announce start of our pre-release testing. Next version of ScummVM is bringing you several new supported games as usual.

The games which were added are: Blue's 123 Time Activities, Blue's ABC Time Activities, Bud Tucker in Double Trouble and The 7th Guest. The procedure haven't changed, same as usual you need daily build of ScummVM, run through the games and submit any bugs you see along the way to the bug tracker. Once you complete the game, report in this forum post so the wiki page could be updated accordingly. We will need the version of the game, language, and platform.

Is there any differences between these new versions? Like how it looks?

Hi everybody,

will the Tinsel Engine be disabled in this release? In the NEWS file DW and DW2 are mentioned as newly supported games, but, according to the wiki, the Tinsel engine is categorized as "in progress"...

Yes. ./configure has it disabled by default, and the announcement doesn't mention it either.

The 7th Guest is completable, one bug noticed.

Side note: The 7th Guest is listed in NEWS but not the README.

Edit: Oh, right. Details.
DOS/English version
Linux x86_64 (Kubuntu), GCC 4.2.4
ScummVM 0.13.0pre (Jan 20 2009 16:44:19) (r35961)
Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 ALSA zLib MPEG2 FluidSynth

Second edit:
Turns out that bug is embedded in the video.

Is this due to the negotiations concerning a free distribution of Discworld?

If so, what is the expected conclusion of these negotiations, subsequently the expected release of a freeware discworld distribution?

Thank you for a quick reply. I read your second answer to mean that the dev team does not know when this will happen.

I completed the English CD version of Beneath a Steel Sky from the downloads page with today's daily build on Windows XP. I didn't notice any problems.

The 7th Guest DOS/Win95 - English

Win32: Game is completeable, some issues with the music still (either missing or playing when it shouldn't)

Wii: still testing, video and sound desync randomly, slow video most of the time but some play full speed
