Reminds me of MESS
Well Keep are supposed to be more 'universal' than previous emulators (whatever that means). It's a research project with a budget of € 4 million, so I wonder how much SW-development that will buy? Who knows, they might achieve some of their intended 'universality'?

None at all. They'll go broke after buying just a few of the FM Towns games on eBay.

So, back on topic, guess this couldn't go uncommented on for too long: it seems that the SCI engine is now present in the SVN repository. So, questions abound: is this built of the efforts made to merge the freeSCI project? I assume if it's being officially supported then there was at least some discussion with the people at freeSCI. Is there any compatibilty within the forseeable (say, 6-8 months) future?

Anyway, pretty cool to see it happening. Congrats to anyone who has been working on it.

Edit: Oh ho, I beat the official announcement. Go me.

I personally doubt that site will be updated again (it was never their forte). Maybe a single post some time in the future.

How things change... I remember how (important for SCUMMVM project) people yelled how freesci and scummvm will never merge. (don't start a flame now, I won't even search the threads, I remember it and that's enough for me - and me only)

I hope the best for this merge, maybe work can be done to implement newer SCI versions in the future.

I'm sorry to say, but if you really intend to make new adventures you better use AGS, it's much MUCH better as SCI (and who knows, maybe it will be merged with ScummVM in the future too).

..but I need to start from something that is already integrated in ScummVM..FreeSci is a step forward from AGI.

Any answer about the FreeSci version ?

I know this is probably not the right time to say it and expect to be believed, but... "That seems very unlikely to me."
