Monkey Island 2

Post by Spammy »

Hello. I have the original PC version of Monkey Island 2 on floppy disks. I have copied the files from the floppy disk over on to my hard drive, but when I try to add the game to scummVM I receive a message saying that there is no recognised game in the directory. The files I have from the 5 floppy disks are in .MI2 format. Does anyone know how to get the game to work?

P.S. I have a 64bit operating system. Will that have anything to do with the problem?

No that can't be the problem.

You need the following files
* MONKEY2.000
* MONKEY2.001
Just as mentioned on this page.
I _think_ you obtain those files by doing a normal install from the floppies (you can use Dosbox for that if you need) and then ripping them to use with ScummVM.

Also please post this stuff in the help&support section and non in general discussion next time.
