I havent updated ScummVM in a LONG time, and noticed that a lot of thigns have changed now.
Can I now name my games something like "Monkey Island 1" or "Loom CD" instead of "monkey" or "loomcd"?
Is there any point to the short game name anymore?
Do I no longer need the Short Game Name?

It's still used internally as an identifier in the ScummVM configuration file, and you can use it to start ScummVM with a particular game from the command-line. However, what you usually see in ScummVM is the description of the game, e.g. "The Secret of Monkey Island", instead of "monkey1".Cyber Akuma wrote: Is there any point to the short game name anymore?

Yes, I know the difference between the description and foldernames. What I am asking was if its not possible to just name the folders whatever you want, because it seems far easier to manage them this way than by their short names.eriktorbjorn wrote:However, what you usually see in ScummVM is the description of the game, e.g. "The Secret of Monkey Island", instead of "monkey1".
