Future Wars (Delphine) Sony CD supported?

Future Wars (Delphine) Sony CD supported?
There exists a red book audio CD-ROM version of "Future Wars" (Delphine Software) released by Sony.
I extracted all the audio tracks and converted them to *.OGG files named track1.ogg, track2.ogg ..... but it seems ScummVM doesn't recognize them.
Is there any support for this version by ScummVM?
Any idea how to get work this? Thx.

I suppose noone has (or knows about) this version. You're the first one to report it. What language is it?
Mobygames has no such info about this version, either

Language is in english. There are 29 audio tracks on CD, a directory 'FW' and a directory 'LEXDEMO'.

I had to remove the last link you posted, as it contains an illegal download link for the game's ISO, which clearly violates forum rule #0

Was it the same release as the CD-ROM release pictured on MobyGames? That link should be safe.md5 wrote:I had to remove the last link you posted,

Noize reported the CD version a while back incoloradix wrote:There exists a red book audio CD-ROM version of "Future Wars" (Delphine Software) released by Sony.

this thread. I added basic support for it and it is now
playable but there is no support for using the CD audio
tracks in any format at the moment.
One would have to reverse engineer some of the music
playing opcodes and implement the changes to ScummVM's
Cine-engine to be able to support the CD audio. In
practice it's a matter of time, resources, skill,
concentration and inclination. I wouldn't hold my
breath but it's possible the support may still happen.
Yes it was the same release as pictured on MobyGames '1989-1992 Delphine Software CD-ROM version 1992 Interplay Productions'.Was it the same release as the CD-ROM release pictured on MobyGames? That link should be safe.
It's a light-red colored CD-ROM labeled 'Future Wars Adventures in Time 1992 Interplay Productions Distributed by Sony Electronic Publishing Company'.
As a collector of vintage games I bought it a few years ago on eBay US. It's (nearly) the same game as the floppy version (plus 29 audio tracks) but the copy protection has been removed.
This summer I noticed that ScummVM supports this game. Unlike the floppy version the CD-ROM version always crashes after starting it within DOSBox 0.72 (WinXP and Linux), but within ScummVM 0.12.0 I noticed no problems, thanks!

Not that I've heard of. It's quite possible that there still aren't any ScummVM developers who own this version of the game. I've never seen it on eBay, but I've only looked for it a couple of times. I only have the DOS floppy version myself.Atrus wrote:Any updates on the audio tracks support for FW?!
