I think THE DIG is one of Lucas Arts most athmospheric games. Granted, it is kinda slow but the pace fits perfectly.
Everything is dead at first and bit after bit the strange alien world becomes alive again - and at that point the story's pace takes on as well.

Complete with beautiful artwork (some of those Cocytan vistas are breathtaking), great music and interresting characters THE DIG is truly a masterpiece.

It definitely didn't live up to the hype I was expecting but wasn't an epic fail
