There supposedly is a generic EBOOT loader underway for GTA, so I don't see the point of going through the trouble of making a custom version of ScummVM now.
Besides, I don't have a 2.00 (or higher) firmware PSP nor GTA.

That too, but 0.8.1 will be released soon, and should run on all firmwares (via EBOOT loader on 2.00 and higher).
I don't recommend any older versions, since some important bugs have been fixed since.

FYI, the loader in question was recently released and supports up to firmware 2.5. Hopefully 2.6 shouldn't be too far off.
I'd be interested to hear if it works with the '2.00 firmware' release of ScummVM 0.8.0 for PSP.

Sadly, ScummVM eboot for 2.0 does not work with the new GTA loader for 2.01/2.5. When you run it the PSP screen goes black, memory stick access light stays on for a few seconds and then the system powers itself off.
I am really looking forward to a version of scummvm that will work with 2.01/GTA eboot loader.

You mean you're looking forward to a version of the loader that will work with ScummVM?

Joostp, the eloader from Fanjita is only a beta, hopefully in a newer release the standard 2.00 ScummVM-PSP will work.
If not you guys may need to tinker with it a bit and possibly collabrate with Fanjita.

The work on it is already finished, and we will announce it in about 14 hours. Porters and builders are uploading their builds.

Dunno, I doubt it'll work with the current loader if 0.8.0 doesn't either.
If it doesn't, a future eloader update
should fix it, hopefully.
Otherwise, I'll happily look into it if you donate me a 2.5 FW PSP and GTA.

Hi! Does this mean that we owners of PSP 2.01 could run ScummVM?
All best

Fanjita has released another version of the eloader, this time compatible with PSP FW 2.60. Sadly, it still does not run Scummvm.
